Be Our Guest!
We are a new and growing church in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle. We want you to be our guest, and worship Jesus with us. We have big plans for the future, and we need you to be a part of those plans!
We do our best to address the common questions people have
Our New Sanctuary
Our first location on 4th Avenue is being torn down to make way for a new high-rise. We’re currently in search of our next worship facility in/near Belltown. Stay tuned!.
It’s Easy to Find
We are currently in transition. Contact us for information on our meeting locations.
What Is The Service Like?
Each service begins with praise and worship music. We clap our hands, raise our hands, pray aloud, and sing at the top of our lungs. You don’t have to, but you can try it if you like.
Following worship, you will experience passionate preaching on relevant Biblical topics. Each sermon is rooted in Scripture, and related in a way you can understand and apply to your life.
Before we say goodbye, we’ll have another short time of music.
This allows those who feel like spending time in prayer following the sermon, to respond to God in their own way.
How Should I Dress?
You can feel comfortable coming to church in whatever you feel is appropriate. The ministry team men normally wear suits, sport coats, and shirts and ties, and the ministry women wear business-casual dresses or skirts.
But casual clothes are welcome too. The most important thing is that you’re there, not what you wear.
Where Should I Park?
Part of the life of a church in a major city is parking. We are working on making parking easier, but until we get an agreement, we have no “official” parking spaces. However, there are still plenty of convenient options.
There is a parking lot across the street from the church on 4th and Bell Street. It is a paid lot, but on Sundays, the price isn’t major.
There is also a $5 parking lot on 5th and Bell Street, just right around the corner. This lot is $5 for all-day on Sundays, so if you park there, you’ll be able to go eat and enjoy Seattle without having to move the car or worry about the meter.
Street Parking:Free On Sundays! on Thursdays, you only have to pay until 8pm.
Is Childcare Provided?
We’re new, and at this time, there is no structured childcare programs. As we grow, this is one of our focus areas to provide for in the near future.
Don’t sweat it though! You can feel comfortable bringing your children with you – they won’t bother us at all. In fact, we’ll love having them around!
For parents with new babies, there is a nursery with changing table and comfortable seating if you need any privacy.
Do I have to donate money?
Giving tithes and offerings is a Biblical part of worship, and the Bible says the Lord loves a cheerful giver.
We only pass an offering plate during the service on special occasions. For those wishing to worship the Lord in giving, there is an offering plate provided for donations following service.
DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE?
No, you don’t have to. You’re going to want to, but we don’t believe in high-pressure participation. We just relax and have a good time in the presence of God.
Occasionally, in special circumstances, someone may ask if you would like to pray with them. You can feel comfortable declining any invitation if it does happen. However, most people enjoy the community of praying with others.
How Long Does Church Last?
Our Sunday Worship service typically lasts a little over an hour. You’re welcome to come alone or bring your family; children are also welcome at all our services.
Will I Feel Uncomfortable?
- We hope you feel welcomed and loved. And, we will do our best to never make you feel uncomfortable. However, when the Spirit of the Lord shows up, his divine light shining on the sinful nature of our hearts always makes us feel uncomfortable. It’s called conviction, and it helps guide us into living righteously.
So, we hope God always shows up and makes all of us feel a little uncomfortable in His presence.
If you’re visiting alone, you can always ask the usher and they will find you a friend to sit with. It’s always a little awkward to be new, regardless of the situation, but in time you’ll get to know everyone and feel more at home.
Have More Questions?
Feel free to contact us with any questions. We know visiting a new church for the first time can be unnerving. We want to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Let us know how we can serve you!
